This September the American Automotive Aftermarket Team and The Bowtie Shop will be showing our support for the troops through Red Shirt Fridays. Red Shirt Friday is recognized across the country and is well known for the acronym: R.E.D.
Remember Everyone Deployed
These Friday’s we will wear red to pay tribute to the sacrifice our deployed heroes and their families at home make everyday. By making these thoughts and gratitude a part of our weekly routine we can continuously provide meaningful support and pay our respects to those who are deployed and their families.
Paired with RED Shirt Fridays we will be collecting items to send to service members who are deployed or stationed abroad. Care packages are a simple, yet very effective tool for us to show our gratitude for those who serve and boost morale while abroad. We plan to send these care boxes in time for the holidays with help from the organization Support Our Troops. We are looking to provide toiletries, non-perishable foods, and other necessities, specifically popular brands that are more readily available in the U.S. For every employee that donates items to our fundraiser, American Automotive Aftermarket will donate a collection of items valued at $50. The collection will occur September through mid-November so the care packages will get there in time for the holidays!
We encourage all employees to donate as well as any of our customers interested in participating!
